Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. Her early years were shaped by Boleros, classical music and the classic romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other dramatic shows. She was taught by her mother to sing, but she started more intense singing lessons through Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera singer and tenor. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. As a student and young professional, she performed with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. as a music teacher and musician, she is committed to numerous community projects because of her love and passion for music. Ana was also a part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher in The Performance Loft. Ana appreciates having the chance to share her love and passion of old-fashioned Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of, especially among younger generations in order to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
